Dr. Adam Goldberg provides cosmetic dentistry in Augusta. We offer a variety of treatment options to address multiple concerns you may have with the appearance of your teeth and gums.
Our dentists like to begin the treatment recommendation process by using technology called Smile-Vision to demonstrate how your smile will look following cosmetic dental treatment. This removes all of the guesswork by showing you the results of a particular treatment before we ever touch one or more of your teeth. We use a digital photo of your teeth and smile and digitally simulate the effects of treatment.
Following is an overview of cosmetic treatment options available at The Goldberg Dental Group.
Invisalign®
An orthodontic teeth alignment system that patients have come to ask for by name, Invisalign® offers an aesthetic approach to crooked, crowded or gapped teeth. We will evaluate your orthodontic issues to determine if you are a good candidate for treatment. Then we take impressions of your teeth and have a series of clear plastic aligners made that will gently guide your teeth into their proper position over the course of a few months. You wear each aligner for two weeks before graduating to the next in the series. You will visit our office about every six weeks for a checkup and to receive your next series of aligners.

Teeth Whitening
Patients who want a whiter, brighter smile can benefit from our take-home bleaching system, which provides better, longer-lasting results than over-the-counter products available in stores. We will have a set of custom trays made for you. Simply put a bit of the whitening solution in your trays as directed, wear them for the prescribed length of time, and watch your teeth become noticeably whiter.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are one method of correcting a variety of tooth imperfections, including chipped, cracked, discolored, uneven and misaligned teeth. These thin sheets of porcelain are bonded to the fronts of your teeth to cover imperfections and create a dazzling smile. Some veneers require a slight reduction of your tooth structure to make room for the veneer without adding additional bulk to your teeth. Other types of veneers we offer require minimal to no preparation of the existing tooth surface. Our dentists will perform an evaluation and recommend a treatment approach that best addresses your unique needs.
Cosmetic Contouring
Teeth and gums that are slightly uneven can be improved through cosmetic contouring. We can slightly reduce tooth surfaces without damaging tooth structure to create a more appealing smile. We also use a soft tissue diode laser to contour gum lines in patients who wish to reduce the appearance of gummy smiles.
Direct Bonding
Also known as cosmetic bonding, this is a tooth-colored filling material used to create composite veneers. The difference between direct bonding and porcelain veneers is that this is a procedure where the veneer is created by the dentist chairside. Composite bonding is more of an interim or cost-saving solution.
Porcelain Crowns
Teeth that have more extensive imperfections can be improved with porcelain crowns. Crowns are an ideal solution to significantly chipped, cracked and decayed teeth. We will closely match the porcelain to the shade of your existing teeth to create a restoration that looks natural.
