Ruth Crews- Registered Dental Hygienist
Ruth is a registered dental hygienist who earned an associate’s degree in allied health sciences from the Medical College of Georgia in 1981. She joined our team in November 1993.
Her duties include cleaning and polishing teeth, giving oral hygiene instructions, monitoring periodontal conditions and offering dietary counseling. She enjoys interacting with patients and helping them have a good dental experience, particularly if they may have had a negative experience in the past.
When she isn’t working, Ruth works with college students at First Baptist Church. Her hobbies include sewing and cooking. Her favorite Georgia vacation spot is Savannah.
Ruth and her husband David married in June 1982 and have a son, a daughter, and a granddaughter.
Becky Moore- Registered Dental Hygienist
Patients are like friends and family to Becky. She enjoys the relationships she has built with them since she joined our practice in March 1986, and being able to be a positive influence in their daily habits and overall health.
Becky earned an associate’s degree in dental hygiene from the Medical College of Georgia in 1983.
She has been married to Scott since August 1983, and the couple has three children. They also have two grandchildren, as well as a Maltese named Meg.
When she isn’t working, Becky enjoys vacationing at the beach, babysitting her grandchildren, spending time with her family, reading, jazzercise and playing cards.
Amie Thomas- Registered Dental Hygienist
Amie enjoys helping people, and it shows in the way she develops great friendships with our patients. She joined our office in February 2003.
Amie earned a bachelor’s degree in allied health sciences from the Medical College of Georgia in 1997. She is married to Baylon, and they have two sons. They also have a dog named Charlie Brown.
Her favorite Georgia vacation spot is Savannah, and her spare time activities include baseball and football with her boys. Her hobbies include teaching Sunday school and working in children’s ministry at Trinity Baptist Church.
Blake Cawley- Chairside Clinical Assistant
Blake assists our dentists with a variety of patient treatments. She joined our team in June 2014. Blake is a certified dental assistant who earned her certification from Augusta Technical College in 2012.
Blake’s favorite aspect of her job is helping patients improve their smiles.
She and her husband Adam married in October 2012. She enjoys volunteering at her church and spending time with her family in her spare time.
Heather Guilfoyle- Chairside Clinical Assistant
Heather is a dental assistant, started in Feb 2015. She attended class at GA Military College and has an Assoc Degree in Science; awarded in 2001. She has 2 children and enjoys the relationships she builds with our patients.
Patty Merritt- Scheduling Coordinator
Patty has been part of our staff since May 1989, and she schedules appointments, manages hygiene recalls and handles telephone duties. Patty enjoys seeing and catching up with our long-time patients that come in every few months, as well as getting to know our new patients.
Patty attended South Georgia College in Douglas and Georgia College in Milledgeville. She and her husband Jim have two sons, four grandchildren, and a miniature Dachshund named Holly. Her hobbies include reading and shopping. In her spare time, she enjoys church activities, spending time with family – especially her grandchildren – and vacationing at St. Simon’s Island.
Julie Flanagan- Financial Coordinator
Julie helps our patients make financial arrangements and assists with filing paperwork with our patients’ insurance companies. She has valued the rewarding relationships and connections with our patients since she began working here in June 2003.
Julie attended Missouri State University. She and her husband Larry married in July 2003, and they have one daughter. They also have a Dachshund named Fritz. She’s a self-described “crazy Dachshund lady” who collects breed-related items of all sorts – anything she can get her hands on.
He spare time activities include shopping, movies and dinner with friends. Her favorite place in Georgia to visit is Savannah.
